This beer is a tribute to the Matron Saint of Emerson’s. Richard’s Mum, Ingrid. Without her belief, patience, and tolerance, Emerson’s Brewery wouldn’t be here today. Ingrid had a soft spot for German style wheat beers, and we know she would have loved this one. Weizenbock is a dark beer, bringing wheat and malt together for a toasty, bready, rich brew. It’s warming, sweet, spicy, and surprisingly strong. Just like Ingrid.

The Rock & Pillar Range looks over the small Otago town of Middlemarch, that Richard Emerson calls home. Here, locals know Richard to be both a pillar of the community, and a rock. Or at least that’s what he thinks they mean by pillar. Whatever they may say, his house is always a popular spot for a beer. And this dark ale will be perfect for a bone chilling Strath Taieri night. Rock & Pillar sits somewhere between a brown porter and a stout, robust with rich malt, roasted cocoa, dark chocolate and coffee flavours that are as bittersweet as the local sense of humour

Mac’s Too Easy Juicy Hazy Pale Ale is a beer brewed to be big and juicy in flavour, but exceptionally smooth and easy drinking.

Mac’s take on a juicy hazy pale ale, brewed to be low in bitterness and with an emphasis on the tropical fruit characteristics and drinkability… at 4.4% ABV it makes for a very sessionable brew. Flavour Profile: An easy drinking beer with the addition of Taiheke & Nelson Sauvin hops in the brewhouse evident. Grapefruit, lime and gooseberry zestiness brings balance the big mango & pineapple flavour profiles, making this beer ‘Too Easy’ to say yes to.

Mac’s Showboat We’re not usually one to show off, but we’re pleased as punch with this little beauty.Fruity hop juiciness on a super smooth malt base:if you’ve got it, flaunt it.Crack open a can and join us in shaking a tail feather.

A Mac’s take on the NEIPA (New England-style IPA), brewed to be lower in bitterness than traditional IPAs, but still very generously hopped, both in the brewhouse and dry-hopped in fermentation, with an emphasis on producing juicy, tropical fruit flavours. 5.2% ABV

Mac’s Freeride is a Pale Ale brewed to be super low in alcohol but still full in flavour by the process of arrested fermentation. Pale and crystal malts are used to give the beer a smooth, caramelized malt flavour and full body. Fermentation is controlled to keep alcohol at less than 0.5% and then the beer is dry-hopped with New Zealand Nectaron hops, giving aromas of tropical fruit plus notes of peach and grapefruit.

Commit and drop in on a Mac’s Freeride, a full flavoured hoppy Pale Ale, dry hopped with Nectaron Hops delivering aromas of Tropical and Citrus fruits. Brewed to have less than 0.5% Alcohol so you can freeride through life with no rules and no limits.

Get your Go Go boots on. Mouthwatering kettle sour, spiked milk sugar and infused with passionfruit, guava and grapefruit for a massive juicy sweet and sour gummy fruit explosion. Groovy man.

6.8% - New Zealand IPA

It’s the pick of the crop. New Zealand IPA, brewed with Southern Cross, NZ Cascade, Nelson Sauvin and Waimea in a clean golden malt base, for a beer blazing with bold bright bitterness, mouthwatering citrus, juicy tropical fruit and rich hop resin. A cut above the rest.
