If you’re looking for a beer with a big creamy flavour you’ve come to the right place.

5 malt old dark was introduced into the Speight’s range in 1992 to meet consumer demands for the classic ‘dark’ beer. No prizes for guessing why it got its name. By carefully selecting, roasting and matching 5 separate malts we have crafted a dark beer that gives rich, creamy, chocolate fudge flavours swiftly followed by coffee overtones. Perfect for warming the cockles on a stormy night.

Best drunk with some fine New Zealand cheeses or chocolate desserts.

Tasting Note: A well-balanced nonalcoholic lager. Fresh and easy to drink. Brewed with the finest barley malt and choicest hops using a unique, patented brewing method – which does not involve extracting the alcohol at the end of brewing. Freshness and a pleasingly intense hoppy note. Creamy on the palate with the sweetness balanced by a moderate bitterness.

Colour: Intense purple. Aroma: Perfumed and bursting with red roses and ripe Satsuma plum combined with black olive and brambly spice hints. 

Palate: Juicy blue and red fruits and brambly spice come together in this medium to full-bodied wine with fine suede-like tannins adding to the mouthfeel. The fresh and bright fruit flows through to the slightly savoury, spicy and youthfully austere finish.

Sundowner – Hazy IPA

Sundowner is a little gem with its creamy body dominated by stone fruit and tropical flavours and comes in at 5.8%.

Fabulous Pinot Noir with amazing depth of flavour especially at this price; a wine that really puts Marlborough's best foot forward thanks to winemaker Rebecca Salmond, who sources grapes from the region's Southern Valleys. Flavours are of ripe cherry, blackberry and spice lead into a lovely, elegant yet weighty palate with superb fruit ripeness and intensity. This wine will continue to age for two years plus and pairs well with lighter red meat dishes.

The vines from this Shiraz are believed to have been planted in 1843. The original plantings still survive and are some of the oldest and rarest vines in the world. This is a rich and complex wine worthy of extended ageing. The nose is intense with notes of plum, coffee and oaky spice. The palate is rich with ripe fruit and sweet spices. Freedom Shiraz is full-bodied with a long and fruity finish.
