Unit price perSmooth, complex, and beautifully balanced, our Flemish Bruin pours a deep mahogany with ruby highlights, crowned by a wispy, off-white head. On the nose, it opens with inviting aromas of dark cherries, dates, and a hint of balsamic, intertwined with gentle oak and a complex earthiness. The malt base boasts notes of caramel and toffee, quickly met by a bright, tangy acidity that adds lift and vibrancy. A hint of oak lingers in the background thanks to nearly 24 moths of careful maturation. The finish is dry, slightly tart, and refreshingly clean, leaving you ready for another sip.
Perfect for slow sipping by the fire reading a leather bound dictionary, pairing with rich meats, or matching with aged cheeses

THE YARN BEHIND THE BREW
Work smarter, not harder - an idiom that Lou Butler Sr fixated on as he sat, drawing machinery designs with chalk on his workshop floor. The Inglewood man, whose father ironically did business selling wine made from blackberries, would go on to invent a machine that would take sword to said thorny bush.
Dealing to hedges that were sometimes 20 metres wide, the Butler Bros trimmer wielded a 3.5m blade and a steel cage to protect the operator from flying debris, and was mounted on Bren-Gun Carriers, Tanks and Army Trucks, no doubt raising eyebrows from their Windsor Road Neighbours. This Lactose infused Sour Beer uses truck loads of Blackberries and a dash of lemon.

This Belgian Dubbel features a multidimensional makeup of a Pilsner malt base, complemented by European specialty malts like Caramunich, Special B, and Extra Dark Crystal, resulting in an authentic malt-forward experience that might just be a calling to Trappist-style brews, seeking the divine.

Unit price perWeizenbocks are a style of strong German wheat beer that can vary in colour from golden to dark brown depending on the malts used. For our first Weizenbock, we went with a pale version. You can imagine it as a supercharged version of our Hefeweizen. Born Too Late was inspired by the pale Weizenbock brewed by the oldest continually operating brewery in the world and arguably the finest wheat beer producer. It has the banana and clove notes from the yeast, supported by malt sweetness. Hazy in appearance and pouring with a delicious creamy head of foam.

Unit price perGose (pronounced go-suh) is a sour wheat ale brewed with salt and coriander. Such was its popularity in the German town of Goslar and surrounding areas during the 1800s, that there were over 80 Gose taverns (Gosenschenkes in German) dedicated to serving it. By the 1900s, the style had lost its popularity and brewing ceased. Only recently has the style been resurrected. Grain of Salt is brewed in the traditional manner with a mixed culture including lactobacillus souring bacteria and brettanomyces yeast.
