The small Clark family swells over the summer months as old friends return to the farm in Tasmania?s Derwent Valley to help with the berry harvest. By now, the crop of Thornless Loch Ness blackberries has swollen with vitamins, antioxidants, and anthocyanins. The poppy is a bright red wild flower, in the subfamily Papaveroideae of the family Papaveraceae. This is a curious, fruity liqueur with a candied characteristic.

TUACA is 100% natural, based on a 500-year-old recipe originating in the hills of Tuscany. The process begins according to tradition with the selection of the finest Italian brandy, ranging from 3 to 10 years old. It?s sourced from Faenza, a small city near Bologna, known for producing brandy with a pleasing aroma, amber colour and an exceptionally smooth finish. This product starts life as classic Mr. Black coffee & spirit infusion, before being placed in some very unique and special barrels. The folks over at Illegal Mezcal in Oaxaca, Mexico had been experimenting with aging mezcal in oak, which of course piqued the interest of Mr. Black. After resting the coffee liqueur in ex-mezcal casks they added in a touch of Ilegal Joven Mezcal.

The final blend brings notes of nutmeg, spice and roasted agave, alongside Mr Black’s signature Arabica coffee flavour. The mezcal adds deep complexity to the liqueur, making this one a winner for contemplative sipping.
