About Fenton Street Distillery

Fenton Street Gin is crafted in Stratford at an elevation of 310m/1017 feet. They capture Botanics at altitude. Their botanics are not distilled separately then blended. To ensure flavours are balanced they are carefully measured in much the same way as a chef creates a dish.

Due to the freshness and volume of the botanicals, some of the Fenton Street gins may appear cloudy when tonic is added or sipped on ice. This is because their gins are non-chill filtered. Stuart Greenhill, head distiller said: ?We don?t want to chill-filter. The whole point of our gin is to capture flavours from carefully selected and measured botanics. It seems unproductive to distil in what is essentially a neutral flavoured spirit and then filter out the natural oils again.?

Lunatic & Lovers vision is to distill the finest botanical rum this world has ever tasted. Are they mad to imagine they can? Or would it be greater lunacy to assume they cannot?

To bring figment to fruition, they passionately craft a base of rich, Pure Single Rum to be re-distilled using a highly unorthodox method of vapour infusion to capture the delightfully unique botanical flavours & aromatics.

TASTING NOTES:
A sophisticated and complex spirit with light citrus top notes, layered over distinctive herbs and spices. There is a gentle heat on the palate which develops into an earthy, warm base.
The richness of our hand-crafted rum works in delightful tandem with the selected botanicals to create an unashamedly unique organoleptic experience. Mixologists will have plenty of opportunity to indulge their creative tendencies but on a simpler level, Lunatic and Lover Silver plays well with a good quality tonic or soda that allows its distinctive character to shine through.

This limited edition Walkman flask contains Thomson Two Tone blended whisky.

Two Tone refers to the two kinds of cask used for the maturation of this whisky; European oak which formerly held New Zealand red wine and American white oak used exclusively for whisky. 

Find sea air and caramelised fruits on the nose, followed by red berries, apricot and spice on the palate. In place of an age statement the infinity symbol marking this bottling is symbolic of the marriage of casks.

Wakame arrived in New Zealand coastal waters on the hills of ships and thrived on our pristine rocky coastline. We of course now know it as a delicious culinary ingredient with many positive health benefits. Imagination is stoked to be able to gather wild wakame for this gin from the coast of Wellington and Wairarapa.

The initial aroma is juniper forward, fresh and sweet. When tasted you get the refreshingness of the citrus before fading to reveal the juniper in the background. A noticeable sweetness appears giving way to a sweet salt finish. A classic dry gin with a contemporary twist, transporting you to New Zealand's fresh and invigorating coastal waters.

Thomson Rye and Barley is made from New Zealand grown grain.  This we've crushed, mashed, fermented and finally double distilled through our hand beaten copper pot stills.

Small cask aged for maximum flavour.

A marvelous a?ejo made from a blend of light and heavy molasses-based rums aged for a minimum of 8 years in charred American oak bourbon barrels. Angostura? 1919 rum possesses a rich, golden-amber hue with excellent clarity. The rum exudes a complex bouquet brimming over with aromas of cocoa, molasses, caramel and vanilla. It is remarkably soft and well rounded as the rum glides over the plate without a hint of harshness or biting edge.
