The Sister Distillery to Arran's Lochranza Distillery opened in 1995, Lagg is located on the Southern end of the Isle of Arran. Lagg is purely devoted to producing premium quality Peated  Single Malt. 

Kilmory is the first core range release from Lagg –from ex-bourbon casks at 46% ABV.

Isle of Arran Distillers is the only whisky company to produce a Single Malt which is officially endorsed by the World Burns Federation.  Partnered with the Federation since 1998, we have the authorisation to use Burns's likeness and signature on our Single Malts in recognition of being the closest Distillery to Burns's birthplace of Alloway in Ayrshire.  Burns indeed would have seen Arran most days from his home village.

This light aromatic Single Malt is ideal for drinking prior to or during a meal. Very fresh with no artificial colouring, this beautifully packaged malt is made for easy drinking.

A very versatile dram, inspired by Scottish poet Robert Burns, this whisky can be enjoyed alone, with water or ice, or even in a long drink.

Smooth and mellow, the aroma opens with vanilla and rich, silky notes of exotic fruits, dried pineapples and a hint of smoky liquorice.

Talisker's Dark Storm is matured in heavily charred oak casks, imparting yet more smoke and spice to the already intensely smoky whisky. A fantastic release from the distillery on the Isle of Skye.

A classic expression of Glen Grant's style, this 12 Year Old Single Malt Scotch shows pleasant notes of orchard fruit, almond and citrus accompanied by subtle notes of apple pie crust and caramel. The finish lingers with fruit and subtle hints of spice.

GlenDronach have released another sumptuous single malt that has enjoyed a rest in Port casks. This particular expression is a 10 year old whisky, initally aged in Pedro Ximenez and Oloroso sherry casks before being finished in Port pipes from Portugal's Douro valley.

Nose: Pronounced orchard fruits and vanilla pod mingled with aromas of citrus peels and toasted nuts. 

Palate: Sweet and creamy with layers of sugared almond and panna cotta followed with notes of dried apple, nutmeg and cocoa powder. 

Finish: Perfectly balanced with creamy rice pudding and gentle cinnamon spices lingering long on the tongue.

Balblair capture the intense esters at the start of the spirit generating the core characteristics of apricots, oranges, spices, floral notes and green apples. The heavier oils and lipids at the end of the cut are also captured, giving leathery, nutty and full-bodied characteristics.

The 18 year old is matured initially in American oak ex-bourbon casks, followed by first fill Spanish oak butts, which add depth and charisma. This is a rich autumnal whisky with aromas of rich toffee, baked pears and new leather, leading to a palate of juicy apricots, seasoned oak and vanilla custard. The finish is long and raisiny.

This whisky ages for 15 years in oak casks before it is finished, as the name suggests, in Limousin French Oak (the same kind that is used for many Cognacs). Expect rich notes of fruit, almonds and sweet spice.

Tis malt is a light and easy drinking whisky and shows a large influence from the American oak cask in which it has peacefully aged for 15 years.

Nose: Gentle, balanced with orchard fruits, oak, blossom, orange too, creamy vanilla, toffee.

Palate: Creamy and soft with a prominence of fruit and malt. Balanced, some toffee, caramel, citrus.

Finish: A long, soft finish.

Released in 1969, the Suntory Special Reserve Whisky was a 70th anniversary commemoration of Suntory whisky. This outstanding non-age statement whisky uses a blend of the finest single malts from the Yamazaki and Hakushu distilleries and matured in minazura oak. With age statements whisky not set to resume regular supply for some years, Suntory's blenders have risen to the challenge by creating a great assemblage from a restricted inventory. Enjoy straight or on the rocks.

Timorous Beastie 10 Years Old is a beautifully aged, Highland “Vatted” Malt, that is proudly offered without colouring or chill-filtration. Bottled at 46.8% alcohol strength, Timorous Beastie 10 Years Old's tasting notes include spiced autumnal fruit, complemented by honey, cereal and orange. The fourth release under the brand to carry an age statement, following Timorous Beastie 18 Years Old, 40 Years Old and 21 Years Old bottlings.

Nose: Very sweet as if sugar and syrup have been added to spiced autumnal fruit.

Palate: Now with honey, the gentlest spices and a distinct cereal content

Finish: Honeycomb and clove studded orange finish

Kavalan's incredible Solist Vinho Barrique expression is allowed to mature in casks that have contained red and white wines, and then re-toasted. Very interesting Taiwanese whisky from King Car.

Nose: Vanilla and caramelized sugars with dark chocolate on top. Ripe melon and mango.

Palate: Kiwi and a delicate blend of citrus fruits burst. Pepper is also present in the background waiting to be noticed.

Finish: Clean and complex hints of chocolate and ripe fruit.

Amrut Fusion is made from both Indian malted barley and Indian malt smoked with Scottish peat. Each malt is distilled separately and then combined in ex-bourbon barrels.

Tasting Notes
Nose : Heavy, thickly oaked and complex: some curious barley-sugar notes here shrouded in soft smoke. Big, but seductively gentle, too;

Taste : The delivery, though controlled at first, is massive! Then more like con-fusion as that smoke on the nose turns into warming, full blown peat, but it far from gets its own way as a vague sherry trifle note (curious, seeing how there are no sherry butts involved) - the custard presumably is oaky vanilla - hammers home that barley - fruitiness to make for a bit of a free-for-all; but for extra food measure the flavours develop into a really intense chocolate fudge middle which absolute resonates through the palate;

Finish : A slight struggle here as the mouthfeel gets a bit puffy here with the dry peat and oak; enough molassed sweetness to see the malt through to a satisfying end, though. Above all the spices, rather than lying down and accepting their fate, rise up and usher this extraordinary whisky to its exit;
