David Moreau is a rising star in Burgundy, based in the village of Santenay. Having studied oenology and worked in both New Zealand and at Domaine de la Romanee-Conti, he returned to Burgundy in 2006 to take over his family’s estate. David brings a modern touch while maintaining the traditional values of his ancestors, focusing on sustainable viticulture and minimal intervention in winemaking.

The vineyards for his Santenay 2022 are planted on classic Burgundy terroir, primarily limestone and clay soils with a high mineral content. This contributes to the wine's structure and purity. The vines are relatively old, averaging 40–60 years, which adds depth and concentration to the final product.

With white flowers, stone fruits and toasted bread aromas lead to a balanced fruity palate. Drink over the next five to six years.

"Les Baronnes" is a wine of exotic fruit and citrus aromas; subtle yet powerful. Its persistence and harmony find their origin in the exposition and quality of the terroir. Delicate nose with aromas of white flesh fruits and citrus, this Sancerre is highlighted by its typicity. - Henri Bourgeois. 

The second wine of Domaine de Chevalier, L'Esprit de Chevalier shows complexity, depth and power expected from the deep gravel soils of the Graves. In the vineyard and winery innovation is constant, Olivier Bernard and his team are always pushing to improve the wines while showcasing each vintage as it comes. L'Esprit can be enjoyed now or in the next six years where it will age gracefully in the cellar.

Grapes - Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Petit Verdot, Cabernet Franc

This is fruity yet mineral, with a perfectly balanced body and acidity. It's a blend of Grenache Blanc, Sauvignon Blanc and a little-known grape called Terret. Zingy, zesty and full of notes of green apple, kiwifruit and lime zest.

This Pouilly Fumé is grown on chalky clay vineyards grown on sloping hillsides in the Loire Valley. This wine has a floral and smoky character which flatters the fruity aroma, roundness and long, flinty finish.

Confidencial is a taste combination of classic native Portuguese grapes Touriga Nacional (aka queen of Portuguese reds) with the better French red grapes, Syrah and Cabernet Sauvignon. These three powerful red grapes each adds oomph and power to this wine, providing it with a full body, dry flavours and earthy complexity. 

We think that Confidencial offers great value for money and has layers of flavours, which will improve over time in the bottle, but also drink incredibly well right now. Decant and serve in your best big wine glass. 

Portugal is the most western country in Europe and home to a diverse range of wines from crisp dry whites in the maritime north to full bodied reds from the hot south, with many delicious variations in between. 

Tasting Notes

This pre-made bottled Bellini is made with sparkling wine and peach nectar. It has a wonderful bold flavour of peach, which is present on the nose and carries through on the palate, offering a soft creamy texture with the gentle fizz. The flavours are delightful on the taste buds and linger slightly. A delightful way to begin a meal.

Process

Grapes were machine pressed. The pressed juice was then chilled and allowed to clarify for 3 days. The clear juice was racked off lees and transferred to the fermentation tank. The lees were filtered and combined with the rest of the juice. The juice was warmed to 15 degrees celsius and yeast added. The ferment was complete after 17 days and kept at 17-18 degrees and allowed to warm to 20 degrees towards the end to ensure completeness. The base wine was then cold stabilised and filtered, now ready to be converted into a Bellini.

The 2020 GCV White Hut Riesling is a new entrant to the Gaelic Cemetery portfolio, an opportunity to showcase the subregion where our well renowned vineyard is located.

GCV White Hut is named after a small sub region of the Clare Valley located just North of the Clare Township. With a high altitude of over 400m above sea level, consisting of undulating valleys and hills the region is well known for producing grapes of the highest quality. Enjoyable in its youth but carefully cellared will continue to evolve over the next 10 years.


Tasting Notes
The colour is pale straw with vivid green hues. Lifted aromatics showcase a pure expression of lemon pith with subtle notes of jasmine and citrus blossom. Flavour wise the palate has zesty lime juice and lemon grass flavours with a long chalky, mineral like acidity providing freshness, structure and length.

Tasting notes:   Floral aromas explodes as wine gets into glass. Oak fermentation and aging promises a complex, vigorous, exciting wine. Concentrated, deep and mineral at once, a great gun amongst white wines. The elegancy and richness shows how excellent a white wine can be amongst the reds in Villany wine region.

Les Jamelles Clair de Rose is a blend of two red grape varieties, Grenache and Cinsault. The combination creates a clean, dry and refreshing southern French rose with floral and fruity flavours in a rounded, medium bodied style. Cool temperature fermentation in stainless steel tanks retails fruity flavours and is finished in a dry style. 

The grapes in this wine come from two distinctly different areas; the Herault Valley's sloping vineyards where the warm Mediterranean climate provides consistently sunny conditions and outstanding ripeness, along with the Narbonne, where sandier soils provide rich flavours and balance. 

Drink with a classic food match of melon and prosciutto on a sunny day or serve alongside salami and antipasto any time of year as a refreshing aperitif wine.

Sourced exclusively from 2 family farms that are increasingly practicing sustainable farming. Most of the fruit is sourced from the right bank of the Rhone River. 50% Grenache Blanc, 20% Marsanne, 20% Viognier, 10% Bourboulenc. A lively mineral-laced Rhone white, with wet stones and laser pure white fruit in a lip smacking and succulent white. Delivers the elegance and texture of the finest cool climate white wines.

Pure Eden is a bold expression of Shiraz from a single vineyard site in the Eden Valley, which was planted by Charles Angas in the 1890s. The vineyard was later owned by the Shiltons from 1911 to 1926; Meakins 1926 to 1929; Roeslers 1929 to 1961; Andretzkes 1961 to 2011 and, now, by the Lindner family. This wine is a reward of these guardians’ efforts for more than 100 years.

This wine is a beautifully ripe Shiraz with rich blackberry  and blueberry flavours and aromas of black olive, cedar, earth and white pepper. Velvety tannins add structure and texture to this wine. Ageing was for 24 months in French oak, 47% new and the balanced pre-used oak. 

Langmeil is owned by the Lindner family, which has been making wine for six generations in the Barossa Valley.

Far away from the oxidative wines with which the Savagnin grape variety is generally associated, this Cotes du Jura is a wine of great freshness, with lovely, airy white flowers notes. The palate is as elegant as the nose, nicely blending richness, roundness and freshness and offering a great aromatic presence with a floral and iodized structure.
