Malfy Gin CON ARANCIA is distilled by the Vergnano family in Italy - the birthplace of Gin - using the peel of Sicilian Blood Oranges, Italian Juniper and four other botanicals with their traditional Vacuum Still.  Blood Oranges are prized variety in Sicily - and harvested in November - their rich red colour develops from the cool Mediterranean nights.

Le Sol means sunshine or soil, depending on which language you're talking - and either way, it is a lovely evocative description of one of the best Syrahs made in Hawke's Bay every year. This incredibly powerful wine is a beautiful spicy expression of the great Syrah grape from the Northern Rhone Valley. It was aged for 27 months in French oak barriques.

How is it possible to roll all these flavours into one affordable wine? Ask the Famille Perrin, one of the great winemaking families in southern France, who create this complex, fruity, earthy and fresh Cotes du Rhone from a blend of Grenache (mainly from their Prébois vineyard in Orange), Syrah from further north in Vinsobres and Mourvèdre. While many less interesting Cotes du Rhone are made from a straightforward blend of Grenache and Syrah, the addition of the dark, mocha-like flavours of Mourvèdre add depth, richness and smooth soft velvet mouthfeel. 

The grapes in this wine were destemmed and fermented in temperature controlled stainless steel tanks between 150hl and 190hl. Extraction is done by pumping over and the frequency is determined by tasting. The separate component wines are transferred partly to oak barrels and partly to stainless steel vats for a year's maturation, prior to blending. 

The result is outstanding dry red wine flavours with rich soft fruit appeal and a long finish; all to be hoped for from the family who own Chateau de Beaucastel.

This is a great young red with medium term ageing ability and especially fresh and consistent thanks to being sealed with a screw cap.

This is a great wine from the home of Pinot Gris. The aroma is lively, floral and complex with notes of elderflower, citrus and green apple. The palate is rich, balanced and spicy, with crisp, pure fruit flavours.

With so many hop heavy hazy IPA's taking the descriptor of pineapple we thought why not boost this with actual pineapple. Nothing better than the real thing for making flavour and aroma! We took a nice, light and sweet malt base with plenty of creamy oats and a bit of lactose and created a hazy IPA by stuffing it full of pineapplely hops. Nectaron, citra and simcoe. Then when it wasn't quite finished we then stuffed it with 15kg of Freeze dried pineapple - equivalent to 150kg of fresh pineapple! Pouring a beautiful light yellow colour with a clean haze, this beer is juice-centric and has plenty of tangy pineapple flowing out mixed in with some stonefruit and pine notes. A full body, lots of fruit flavour and a mellow bitterness round of the flavour.

6.1% ABV.

Kumeu River Pinot Noir and Chardonnay blend together to create a deliciously dry and perfectly pink crémant. The aromas of summer sparkle from the glass, freshly picked strawberries and white stone fruit build the texture and mouth feel we really enjoy from our Kumeu Crémant.
