Bodegas La Horra is the Riebera Del Duero counterpart to Bodegas Roda in Rioja & according to New Zealand Master of Wine Sam Harrop, a prime example of Modernist winemaking.

Spontaneous alcoholic fermentation in stainless steel tanks, malolactic fermentation in French oak vats. Spends 14 months in barrel, 80% French oak and 20% American oak.
Egg albumin used for clarification.

Color:
Very good intensity, with a cherry red background and a bluish-red rim.

Nose:
An incredible burst of fruit, with blackberries and fresh plums leaping from the glass. A delicate interplay of fresh aromatic herbs is also present. The oak is perfectly integrated. The wine's fresh and fruity flavor is already evident on the nose.


Mouth:
It's voluminous, full-bodied, long, and delicate, with caressing tannins. Blackberry and plum make their presence felt, leaving a truly pleasant sensation.
It has the unique characteristic of possessing the expected volume of a great Ribera del Duero wine while simultaneously displaying unexpected finesse for a wine of this youth. The mouth is left with a fruity, flavorful, and fresh sensation of a truly exceptional vintage.
It is surely one of the best Corimbos so far.

This site typically produces ripe, supple and very aromatic Syrah with an amalgam of red and black fruit and lifted floral fragrance.

AROMAS
This Syrah is built around a core of brambly, dark berry fruit, carrying lifted aromatic notes of violet, lavender and warm spice. It is complemented by underlying complexities redolent of new leather and smoky roasted notes, with subtle undertones of toasted oak and a minerality typical of this vineyard.
BODY
The palate is fine and long with a polished tannin structure and gentle mid-palate flesh combining to produce a very even and seamless mouthfeel.

Made from Dijon and Able clones with an average age of 30 years +, organically farmed and situated on the Martinborough Terrace. Expect wild red fruits combined with savoury forest floor notes and superb structure.

100% ovum, first use. Skeetfield fruit, unfined and unfiltered. Beautiful nose with subtly mealy citrus fruit. The palate has beautiful texture and finesse. There’s a bright, lively citrus core with fine-grained structure. Such precision and detail with some spicy, mealy richness. There’s amazing intensity and balance here. There are layers of flavour, with lemons, saline notes, and some grapefruit notes. This is profound. Tony Bish says egg Chardonnays don’t need to age as long before release, and may not live as long as barrique aged ones, but can deliver profundity.

Château Rieussec’s Carmes de Rieussec is a Semillon dominant sweet wine from the Sauternais region of Graves, Bordeaux. The nose is jammy and complex with charming  marmalade notes. The palate is powerful and balanced, with great acidity complimenting notes of pineapple, honey and delicate spice. An excellent desert wine.

This is one of Australia's premier wines, comparable to Penfolds Grange with its cult status and commitment to excellence. Hill of Grace is made entirely from pre-phylloxera Shiraz vines, planted by early European settlers in the mid 1800's. This wine is capable of ageing for 20+ years.

After letting it age for 3 years in oak barrel this Calvados is very smooth and very floral.
