Cocktail Recipe – Mattei Spritz

Fill the glass with ice cubes, add 1/3 Mattei Cap Corse (Red or White) and 2/3 sparkling Muscat. Mix lightly to avoid breaking the bubble. Finally, add a slice of orange for the Mattei Spritz Red or a slice of lemon for the Mattei Spritz White.

Cocktail Recipe - Le Mattei Mule

Fill the glass with ice cubes (or crushed ice), pour in 50ml of Mattei Cap Corse Blanc, the juice of half a lime and Ginger Beer. Stir gently. Garnish with a slice of lime.

From the historic Petrignone estate in Forlì’s Oriolo subzone, this Romagna DOC Sangiovese Superiore Riserva comes from very old vines planted in 1968 on clay–sand soils with pebbles. Harvested by hand at low yields, it is fermented in cement and steel at 28–30°C, with full malolactic conversion, then aged six months in second- and third-fill Allier tonneaux. The delicious 2024 vintage is the middle-tier Pinot Noir (above Moss Oaks and below Premium Reserve) from this producer at Opaki, in the northern Wairarapa.  Deeply coloured, it is weighty and notably rich, with highly concentrated, well-ripened cherry, plum, spice and nut flavours, showing excellent complexity, finely balanced tannins, and a lasting finish.  Likely to be long-lived, it's well worth cellaring to 2029+

Texture is an edgeless velvet with a slow deep river flow that delivers complete and rounded flavours from the first sip.  A universe in your glass.

Those flavours may include nut or caramelised apricot.  Smokey, cherry, cinnamon, dried manuka and dark chocolate.  You'll know immediately that you are on - feel, flavour and length envelop the senses and linger, transporting you somewhere opulent.
