Our take on an English-style Brown Porter, Pioneer is an award-winning beer that blends a proprietary malt list to a delicious end. Using a classic English ale strain imparts lovely fruity esters, both 'bready' & lively, with subtle cocoa & toast on the palate for a simple-yet-satisfying brew. Balanced, as always, & delicious. That's what beer's about, right? 

Our krombacher wheat beer is brewed with all natural ingredients and only the true artisan of our brew masters create a well balanced fruity taste. Experience hints of banana, apricot and cloves. We preserve all important vitamins and minerals during our brewing process.

Melody is a Vienna Lager, reddish-copper in colour, smooth and malty, with some toffee and bready flavours. It’s brewed with a restrained hop usage giving just enough bitterness to provide a balanced finish. First introduced in Vienna in the 1840s, it is now a style that is rare in Austria, but has been embraced by several large Mexican breweries as well as craft breweries around the world.

7.7% - Norwegian Farmhouse

It's a tricky business, getting into drinking competitions with giants. Expect the unexpected. Thor's Cup, inspired by the traditional farmhouse ale that has been made in Norway for centuries, using Kveik yeast (pronounced kwike in English). Brewed using fresh juniper branches in the mash and a touch of beech smoked malt, this beer's unique flavour comes from two mixed Kveik cultures collected from traditional brewers in Voss and Hornindal, and brought back to New Zealand. Dark malts vie with tart yeast driven complexity and subtle hints of smoke and resin in a beer that can truly claim to be unique. Drink deep from the cup, but keep your wits about you.

Over at Bach we've been on the hops again ... brewing up our latest batch for the annual NZIPA challenge at Smith's Crafthouse in Queenstown. 

As Kiwi as a bungy jump in Budgie smugglers, our all-star all-NZ IPA is jammed with new season Nelson grown Riwaka, Nectaron, Nelson Sauvin and Motueka hops, all nestled on juicy Gladfield malts, harvested from the Canterbury plains.

A blend of carefully selected puncheons of our spontaneously fermented coolship ale, conditioned on ripe Ruby Red Kiwifruit, sourced directly from Glenview Orchard, Ng?hinap?uri. The result is a luscious vibrant candy pink beer with a delightful zesty aroma and sweet tart palate.

With a dark beer as our first and flagship brand, Black Butte defined Deschutes as a radical player. A slight hop bitterness up front enhances the distinctive chocolate and roasted finish. It’s prized for its creamy mouthfeel and intense complex flavors.

Nectron ,Superdelic and WAi-Iti helping in a supporting role..

Born with a rugged smoothness, this beer stands out like a Grizzly on its hind legs. The lightly burnt malt character that delivers chocolate coffee mocha flavours neatly combines with a bit of grainy, dark malt dryness on the finish. Add to this aging on bourbon barrel wood to further enhance the smoothness and bring faint vanilla aromas, and the rest is magic. So satisfying that it brings a session-ability that is hard to resist. Beware the Grizzly, he may sneak up on you! 6% ABV
