It’s unwise to make sweeping generalisations about Phantom Lords. They’re not all sinister and evil. In fact, this one is quite the fun, fruity character. Brewed with a heady combo of Kohatu (NZ), and Mosaic (US) hops, Phantom Lord Hazy IPA is full of complex tropical flavours. Pineapple, lime, and stone fruit, meet mango, citrus and berries. Just watch out, at 6.66%, it does still have a bit of devil in it.

This dark, chestnut-brown double bock is only available from November to the end of January. The elaborate three-mash process, the use of four types of malt, and a
16-week lagering period ensure its well-rounded, full-bodied, malt-dominant flavor.

Despite its high original gravity, there's hardly any of the heavy sweetness often found in double bocks. The initial taste is mildly full-bodied with an accompanying coffee note that becomes dominant in the finish. A true taste sensation for winter evenings by candlelight and a crackling fire!

Brewing in the old Dunlop Tyre Factory in Upper Hutt, Panhead produce a range of highly drinkable, hop forward, aromatic beers. Port Road Pilsner takes the New Zealand Pilsner style pioneered by Emerson's and Panhead Brewer Mike Nelsons former employer Tuatara and drives it into ever more zesty NZ hop laced territory. Try it with shellfish.

A West Coaster is usually a no-fuss character, and this IPA has the same laid-back attitude. It’s a modern take on an IPA featuring iconic NZ hops — Rakau, Motueka,
and Nelson Sauvin. A solid bitterness up front eases into a fruit-forward finish with layers of mango, guava, and cool white grape—the kind of laid-back fruitiness you’d expect from a West Coast commune somewhere up the Fox River.

MAXIMUS XX WCIPA 6.8%

A flash back to 2009, the original Maximus IPA recipe before the good American hops ran out. Loads of mid boil hops for huge hop flavour and excessive bitterness. Then dry hoped to within an inch of your life. A tribute to the good old days when IPAs were bitter and malt was still cool.

Brewed in the traditional Belgian style, this wild ale is made from a grist of 40% raw wheat and 60% malted barley, using a turbid mash, aged hops, and an extended boil. The wort is cooled overnight in an open coolship, allowing wild yeasts and bacteria to inoculate it naturally. After spontaneous fermentation, the beer is matured in oak barrels for at least one year before being refermented on fresh apricots and Pinot Gris grape skins.

The combination of apricots and Pinot Gris skins brings layers of stone fruit, citrus, gentle tannin, and vinous complexity, complementing the beer's bright acidity and expressive wild character.

From brew day to bottle, the entire process takes around two years.

Running a drier, sharper, and cleaner West Coast profile, this unit is locked, loaded, and ready to strike.

Flavours: A clean, bright base of pilsner malt, wheat malt, and dextrine malt, with a touch of light crystal, keeps the body lean, snappy, and light on its feet. Clean Froth Buddy ale yeast lets the hops fire on all cylinders. Nelson Sauvin and Taiheke are supercharged by a heavy drop of Tropical Fusion Kief, delivering sharp, defined notes of crushed gooseberries, white wine grapes, and zesty grapefruit with a clean, punchy bitterness

Following the raw power of the Origins first set and the seasonal chaos of the Fresh Hop second drop, Kai Juice - Unleashed arrives as the third evolution of our jungle giant. We have taken our wild, nature-powered hazy and mutated it with high-spec hop tech - packing it with concentrated kief and enriched hops to go head-to-head with its metal rival, Jaeger. It is soft, thick, and fully unleashed.

Flavours: A high-protein grist of pilsner base malt, wheat malt, and flaked oats builds a silky, pillowy body with a rock-solid stable haze. Whitelabs WLP008 yeast cradles a heavy payload of Galaxy, Nectaron, Riwaka Amplifire, and Riwaka Kief. Expect a massive, saturated punch of sweet peach, pineapple, and passionfruit, backed by a heavy wave of dank tropical citrus and fresh-squeezed lime oil.

Crowning the trilogy, Monarch - Unleashed descends as the ultimate mediator. After watching Kai Juice and Jaeger clash through Origins and Fresh Hops, this colossal triple hazy has had the safety limiters completely ripped off to enforce supreme order. Wielding a massive arsenal of Superdelic, Mosaic, and Clayton Hops’ Amplifire Motueka, this heavy-gravity overlord is built to overpower every other beer in the fridge. Flavours: A massive, bold grist of pilsner base malt, wheat malt, flaked wheat, and flaked oats is smoothed out with dextrose sugar and maltodextrin for a thick, velvety body that balanced the 10.2% ABV. Whitelabs WLP008 yeast carries a saturated hop payload of Superdelic, Mosaic, Amplifire Motueka, and Motueka Kief. Expect a sweet-and-dank explosion of red fruit, candy, tropical mango, and fresh-squeezed mojito lime oil that takes you straight to boss level.

Gouden Carolus Imperial Blond was enriched with an infusion of Gouden Carolus Single Malt whisky. This results in a unique beer: spicy and full-bodied, with subtle notes of vanilla and oak. An imperial brew to be cherished.

The hopocalypse is upon us. Our Dankest Daze, West Coast IPA, brewed with a killer line-up of Chinook, Centennial, Citra and Nelson Sauvin. A crisp, clean malt base, bursting with bright grapefruit citrus and dripping dank hop resin, all finished off with a delicious bitter bite. You can run, but you can’t hide.

FIRST PRESS 18 CALAMANSI HAZY IPA 5.7%

Tropical and zesty, this juicy beer is loaded with fresh-cut citrus aromatics of lime, grapefruit, tangerine, mandarin and lemon from the calamansi juice, Citra Cryo and Motueka hops. Those sweet and tangy flavours are balanced by a soft and creamy body loaded with oats and wheat in the grain bill. Dreamy, easy-drinking and delicious!

RASPBERRY WHEAT BEER 5.5%

Tasting like a spring harvest this traditionally brewed Hefeweizen boasts spicy, fruit-filled aromatics of strawberry, orange and grapefruit from the Callista hops which complement the clove and banana notes from the yeast. Raspberry puree brings a bright berry juiciness to this beer with German malts providing a balanced body and a creamy softness, finishing clean and leaving you ready for more!
