It's entirely probable that Rusty Blade invented the contemporary category of barrel-aged gin in 2005. They rested their Blade Gin, made from 88% wheat spirit and 12% California brandy, for 15 months in French Limousine oak barrels that previously held wine. The juniper and citrus notes already present in the gin became aromas of baking spice and cloves, with hints of vanilla and a rounded mouthfeel.
Know a cognac or whiskey fan who needs a bridge into gin? This might be the invitation to juniper that they need. Sip, mix, or both.

Unit price perThis crème de cassis uses the prestigious “Noir de Bourgogne” variety of blackcurrant which is only grown in the Côte d'Or region in Burgundy. The fruit is macerated in a water-alcohol solution for around 10 weeks to extract the optimum flavour and aromatic intensity.
Thanks to a longer aging, in small barrels, ST REMY Authentic French Brandy VSOP acquires a magnificent amber color with golden highlights.
Bouquet: The blend of the fruitiness and the acid drop of the eau-de-vie reveal notes of cherries and raspberries with touches of vanilla and oak.
Taste: A very complex brandy thanks to the richness of the distillates from the French vineyards. First strong and dry, then rounded with a fine complexity. Red fruits aromas, vanilla and woody notes. Suave and well balanced.

Unit price perIt's our classic Third Island Gin - locally foraged Manuka, Rimu, and Horopito showered in pure Stewart Island rainwater - now of seafaring stature.
In the 18th Century, the Royal Navy began the practice of storing gin rations below deck alongside gunpowder.
As such it was crucial that, should a barrel burst, the wet gunpowder would still ignite in the heat of battle.
Anything under 57.15% - or "gunpowder proof" - was barred from ships, while any gin stronger was welcomed aboard.
And with that, Navy Strength Gin was born.
