Aalborg Fad Lagret Snaps 700ml

The latest member of the Aalborg range brings new flavours to the table. This schnapps is based on aquavit matured in sherry barrels for four months, with added warmth from well-aged Caribbean rum.

While there's less traditional cumin flavour, the rum comes through clearly, yet the taste is mild, round and warm. A little pomegranate and lemon peel mix with vanilla for added complexity.  As far as food matching goes, this is perfect for salty and smoky dishes such as meat and fish. Blue cheese and firm aged cheeses also work, as do chocolate desserts.

Launched in 1968 as the first distillery expression of cask strength whisky, Glenfarclas' 105 has always been made by balancing a selection of ex-sherry casks, whose combined natural strength is exactly 60% ABV - 105 British proof. This new limited edition 105 has been made from casks that have matured for 16 years, with the classic Glenfarclas flavours of butterscotch, lashings of Christmas spices and rich, long-lasting dried fruit and woody tones.

Quercus Alba is the Latin name for 'American white oak' and this limited edition whisky is packed with oaky flavour. During the selection process our head distiller said 'for those who like chewing on a pencil'. The heavy char on the virgin oak cask has activated rich tannins, dark toffee and deep wood flavours. We think it's a little reminiscent of the heavy tannic oak notes in American whisky. If you love oak, this release is for you. 

The liquid inside is Manuka Smoke single malt, one of our most identifiable flavour profiles and a signature of our distillery. It's made using locally grown malt that has been smoked with native Manuka wood, mashed, fermented and then double distilled through the Thomson all copper pot stills. The spirit offers an interesting black tea note along with the typical Manuka oils.

A classic dry style gin with an Italian twist. Malfy Gin Originale is a premium gin distilled with Juniper, Coriander and five other botanicals.

A famous old brand of Bourbon that is distilled at the Booker Noe plant in Boston, Kentucky. Part of the Jim Beam stable of Bourbons. A cult bourbon with a very high rye content in the mash, which provides a spicy kick on the palate. A very traditional old-style bourbon, not for the faint-hearted. Dark amber with a cestnut cast. Moderately full-bodied. Walnuts, dried citrus, flowers, allspice. Rich, silky texture. Deep sensations of nuts and fragrance are followed by a spicy core of fruit. Quite rounded in finish. An elegant sipper.

Basil Hayden’s sibling, this great value whiskey is great for sipping and an all star mixer. Potent and heady... with flavors of oak, pears, apricots, and dark caramel. The sweet-sour and woody sipper also has lots of spice from a higher rye content.

Juniper, Coriander, Bay Leaf, Lemon. The Bay is a back-to-basics gin and one of our Working Title gins. Citrus and complex herbal notes predominate. Juniper and Coriander are macerated in our base spirit before final infusion with Bay Leaf and Lemon to create The Bay Gin. Complex and herbal with a bright citrus finish. Equally delicious alone on ice or paired with soda or a dry tonic. 45%ABV

It's our classic Third Island Gin - locally foraged Manuka, Rimu, and Horopito showered in pure Stewart Island rainwater - now of seafaring stature.

In the 18th Century, the Royal Navy began the practice of storing gin rations below deck alongside gunpowder.

As such it was crucial that, should a barrel burst, the wet gunpowder would still ignite in the heat of battle.

Anything under 57.15% - or "gunpowder proof" - was barred from ships, while any gin stronger was welcomed aboard.

And with that, Navy Strength Gin was born.
