Cuvée Watou Rouge was brought onto the market in 2019, at the request of our customers. After a one-year research period, our brew master was satisfied with the fruit combination that he had put together. Contract brewed since 1978 by Van Steenberge for the Augustinian monastery at Stephen’s Church in Ghent using the original yeast culture. Sold outside of Belgium as St Stefanus, after the church, to differentiate it from beers that may be made by other Augustinian communities. The monastery receives money from each sale. Ingredients: Pale, Pilsener and Munich malts; brewing sugar; Saaz, German Hallertau; additional bittering hops. Partially filtered after primary fermentation, then cool matured for four weeks. Filtered and then reseeded with Brett and another yeast, and warm conditioned for two weeks. Bottled and stored for a minimum three months before distribution.

The Gulden Draak Imperial Stout is a dark brown to black-colored beer and is the heaviest beer in the Gulden Draak range with its 12° alcohol percentage volume. The typical roasted taste is obtained by adding roasted, caramelized malt that is used exclusively for this. It is a very well-balanced heavy beer.

The aftertaste is rich and powerful. When tasting this specialty beer you discover aromas of banana and chocolate. The secondary fermentation works beautifully and will perfectly balance the higher alcohols.

RODENBACH Alexander is brewed at the RODENBACH brewery in Roeselare, in the province of West Flanders. This mixed fermentation beer consists of two thirds beer that was matured in oak casks for 24 months and one third young beer, and has been subjected to maceration with sour cherries.

This extraordinary beer with its unique, balanced palate, complex finish and subtle fruit and wood notes is undoubtedly one of the best sour ales RODENBACH has ever created. 

It was brewed for the first time in 1986 on the occasion of Alexander Rodenbach’s 200th birthday and is now back by popular demand to the delight of beer lovers here and abroad. Its aftertaste is reminiscent of a Burgundy wine and its freshness makes this beer the perfect aperitif or accompaniment to cheeses or dessert.
