Swifty is named after the Swiftburn stream that flows through Royalburn Station in the South Island's high country, where our spray-free barley is grown. Brewed by the good folks at Garage Project, this is a Refreshing Beer. An uncomplicated, easy-drinking classic ale. You beauty.

A unique beer, born of a pilgrimage across the USA and Australia to visit some of the world’s most exciting wild and sour breweries. In an act of characteristic openness and generosity, each brewery gifted a sample of their own ‘house culture’, the collection of yeast and bacterial strains responsible for their beer’s unique flavour. From these gifts we produced 11 different barrels, then blended them with a barrel of our own house culture, creating a deliciously complex beer, with a restrained acidity and citrus fruit notes. A true celebration of brewing culture.

Black BEER - BEER, but darker. 4.8%

Exactly as it sounds. Water, malt, hops, yeast. Still simple, just dark. Brewed with a comforting bounty of Gladfield Pilsner, Munich and Chit malts. Sometimes simple is exactly what you want.

Big things sometimes come in little packages. Say hi to Tiny XPA: Brewed with pilsner malt, Simcoe, Strata and Citra hops. Tiny XPA is specially fermented to give you all the juicy hop character and tropical aromatics you’ve come to expect from an XPA, just without the alcohol. Yup that’s right. Big flavour, without the booze so you can enjoy your XPA anytime. Tiny, but mighty.

7.9% - Barrel aged sour red ale

Inspired by the Flanders Red style, this special sour ale is brewed using a generous portion of dark malts, then aged for an extended period in a mixture of wine and whiskey barrels creating a rich red-brown beer with lifted notes of tart fruit, cherry, plum, vanilla and dark chocolate.

7.9% - Apricot Infused Blended Sour

A blend of barrel aged spontaneous beer, infused with sun ripened Clutha Gold apricots from the Webb Family's 100 year old orchard outside Cromwell. The finished beer is a radiant gold, with an astonishing ripe apricot aroma and a juicy tart stone fruit palate.

5.4% - Belgian Pale Ale

You've struck gold! Gold Top - Belgian Style Pale Ale. Pilsner, Munich and Vienna malts, balanced with Hallertau and Saaz hops and fermented with a special Belgian yeast strain create a deliciously drinkable glowing golden ale with gentle floral hop, delicate fruit and subtle spice notes. It's a solid gold hit.

7.7% - Norwegian Farmhouse

It's a tricky business, getting into drinking competitions with giants. Expect the unexpected. Thor's Cup, inspired by the traditional farmhouse ale that has been made in Norway for centuries, using Kveik yeast (pronounced kwike in English). Brewed using fresh juniper branches in the mash and a touch of beech smoked malt, this beer's unique flavour comes from two mixed Kveik cultures collected from traditional brewers in Voss and Hornindal, and brought back to New Zealand. Dark malts vie with tart yeast driven complexity and subtle hints of smoke and resin in a beer that can truly claim to be unique. Drink deep from the cup, but keep your wits about you.

Rose Rabbit Orange Liqueur- New Zealand oranges soaked in our own rich single malt spirit and then naturally sweetened. Fresh orange zest dominates the nose. Lingering sweetness.

8.0% - Smoked Maple Pecan Dessert Stout

It’s the perfect fit. Black Denim Imperial Stout, brewed with seven malts including oats, wheat, chocolate, crystal and a delicate touch of manuka smoke, infused with maple syrup and toasted pecans. Rich, dark and decadently delicious mix of caramel malt and maple sweetness, with delicate nut and balanced roast. Time to pop that top button.

8.0% - Imperial Milk Stout

Full Cream Imperial Milk Stout. Plump Autumn barley, velvety oats, crystal and the darkest black malts, topped off with a decadent addition of creamy lactose milk sugar. We’ve brewed up a pitch perfect balance of delicate dark roast and smooth milk chocolate mocha sweetness. Pure, dark, delicious indulgence.

5.5% - Nelson Lakes Hazy IPA

Splash out with Hazy IPA, brewed with the pick of the Nelson Lakes Hop Harvest. Motueka, Cascade and Nelson Sauvin bring super juicy stone fruit and bright citrus top notes in a lush smooth hazy base that’s as refreshing as a moonlit dip. It’s naughty, but it’s nice.

4.0% - Fruited Peach Lager

A blissful blend of fruit and beer. Super smooth, easy drinking lager, cut with New Zealand peach for a mouth watering fresh fruit flavour. Pure refreshment. Pure Bliss.

Throw open the Doors of Perception. Crisp, clean corn lager, spiked with prickly pear cactus, scorpion chilli peppers, watermelon and dragon fruit creating a startling explosion of vivid colour, packed with sweet juicy fruit, floral flavour and a wicked chilli sting. Open a can and open your mind.
